What time is Tipping Point on ITV1?
4pm until 5pm, every weekday. ITV's own guide lists it that way straight through the current run — Monday 21 September, for instance, reads 16:00 to 17:00 on the ITV1 row.
That hour is the first half of ITV1's teatime double. When Tipping Point ends, The Chase starts at 5pm and carries the channel to the evening news. Two quizzes, two hours, one sofa.
How long is an episode, and what comes after it?
An hour with adverts, so nearer 45 minutes of actual television. Nothing is stripped across two nights: each episode starts and finishes its own game.
On BBC One the competition starts a quarter of an hour later — Pointless at 5.15pm overlaps The Chase rather than Tipping Point, which is why the 4pm hour has the teatime field largely to itself.
Where can I watch Tipping Point online?
ITVX, free, after broadcast. There is no early-morning drop the way there is for the ITV soaps: the counters have to fall on television first, and the episode appears on the streaming service afterwards.
That matters if you are catching up a week late. ITVX keeps a deep back catalogue of older series, so a run you missed in spring is usually still sitting there next to the current one.
Who presents Tipping Point, and are new episodes still being made?
Ben Shephard has fronted the show since it began in 2012, and he is still the man beside the machine. Yes to new episodes, too: ITV said in June 2026 that the programme would go back into the studio later in the year to record a fresh batch for ITV1 and ITVX, and opened applications for contestants at the same time.
One honest caveat about listings. ITV's published guide does not print series or episode numbers for its teatime quizzes, so a 4pm slot can be a brand-new edition or an archive repeat without the schedule saying which. We only call an episode new when ITV or ITVX labels it that way.
What is Tipping Point: Lucky Stars?
The celebrity edition, in which famous names play for a viewer's charity rather than for themselves. It is a weekend fixture rather than a teatime one — ITV1 has it at 4.15pm on Saturday 26 September, sandwiched between the afternoon racing and a celebrity Chase.
The machine and the rules are the same. The difference is the money's destination and the fact that Lucky Stars appears in bursts, not five days a week.
Why is Tipping Point not on today?
Three usual reasons, in order of how often they bite.
It's the weekend. Saturday and Sunday afternoons belong to sport, films and Lucky Stars specials, so the weekday hour simply isn't there.
Racing or football has the afternoon. ITV1's sport blocks can run right up against 4pm. On Friday 25 September, for example, ITV Racing is booked from 1pm to 3.58pm — two minutes of clearance before the quiz.

Not the weekday show. Lucky Stars, the celebrity version, does appear on some Saturdays.
Does the episode go on ITVX before it airs?
No. It goes up after broadcast, unlike the ITV soaps, which drop at 7am.
