Where to Watch Grey's Anatomy in the UK: 22 Seasons on Disney+ and a Shrinking Wait

Week of 12 October 2026 — season 23 opened in the US on Thursday 15 October, when TVmaze lists "Collide" on ABC at 10pm. Disney+ UK carries seasons 1 to 22, and we found no UK date for season 23 in a search on Monday 12 October; Geektown's UK air-date log showed "Autumn 2026 (TBC)" at our Thursday 1 October check. On Monday 12 October Disney+ Standard with Ads was £5.99 a month, with new sign-ups due to pay £6.99 from 14 October. Checked on Monday 12 October against Disney+ UK, TVmaze and press reports, and on Thursday 1 October against Geektown and Cordbusters.

Short version: Grey's Anatomy is on Disney+ in the UK. All 22 finished seasons are there, and new episodes arrive one at a time each week instead of in a box set. How long you wait after America has changed a lot, from three weeks down to a single day, and that's the part worth reading on for.

Where can I watch Grey's Anatomy in the UK?

On Disney+. Its UK page lists 22 seasons, dated 2005 to 2025, and Disney's own UK article says season 22 "premiered 10 October on Disney+ in the UK". Reelgood's UK guide calls that season exclusive to Disney+.

It's a paid service, which sets it apart from what we normally write about. The Chase is free on ITVX after it airs, Pointless is free on iPlayer and Countdown is free on Channel 4's streaming service.

What channel is Grey's Anatomy on in the UK?

We couldn't find a current UK channel listing for new episodes. Geektown, which logs UK premiere dates season by season, gives Sky Witness for season 18 in November 2021 and Disney+ for every season premiere since.

So if you remember watching it on Sky on Wednesday nights, that was the old arrangement. In America it's still a network show: ABC, Thursdays at 10pm Eastern time, with Hulu the day after. Hulu isn't sold on its own in the UK.

How far behind the US is the UK?

Less than it used to be. We took Geektown's UK and US premiere dates for the last five seasons and counted the days between them.

Read down the last column and the direction is clear: 41 days, then 20, 14, 14 and finally one. Season 22 was the first to reach the UK the morning after its American broadcast.

The US slot explains the "next day". Ten o'clock on Thursday night on America's east coast is 3am on Friday here, so a Friday release in Britain is about as fast as it can be.

When does Grey's Anatomy season 23 start in the UK?

Not yet confirmed. ABC opened season 23 on Thursday 15 October 2026, in the same 10pm slot. As of our Monday 12 October check Disney+ UK hadn't published a date, and Geektown lists the UK launch only as autumn 2026.

If Disney+ repeated last season's one-day gap, the first episode would land on Friday 16 October. That's our arithmetic, not an announcement, and we hadn't confirmed it with Disney+ UK when we last checked. Under the two-week gap of seasons 20 and 21 it would be Thursday 29 October instead.

The opener is called "Collide" and the second episode, a week later in the US, is "Slippin' and Slidin'". No episode count for the season has been published.

Does Disney+ UK add Grey's Anatomy episodes weekly?

Yes. Cinemablend's season 22 guide had new episodes "landing weekly" on Disney+ in the UK from Friday 10 October 2025, and Reelgood describes the same one-a-week pattern.

That's the opposite of how the service handles Abbott Elementary in the UK, which turns up in two big batches weeks after ABC has finished. Same owner, same app, very different treatment.

Weekly doesn't mean every week, though. ABC's season 22 ran to 18 episodes with long pauses: six episodes up to 13 November 2025, nothing until 8 January 2026, two more breaks after 29 January and 2 April, and the finale on 7 May. A service that follows the American run inherits its gaps.

How much does Disney+ cost in the UK?

These were the monthly prices when we checked on 30 September 2026. Every plan includes all 22 seasons.

Cordbusters reported the ad-tier rise on 24 September. Because Grey's comes weekly, a one-month subscription only covers four or five new episodes, so the cheap way to watch a whole season is to wait for the finale and take a single month then.

Who's in Grey's Anatomy season 23?

Two long-serving names are gone. ScreenRant reports that Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) and Kim Raver (Teddy Altman) left in the season 22 finale.

Its list of expected returning cast includes Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Jason George, Chris Carmack, Anthony Hill, Alexis Floyd, Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane, Niko Terho and Trevor Jackson.
